Flemington was a Sea of Seppelt
The 2018 Melbourne Cup Carnival was a sea of Seppelt wins over the past week, finishing with the Seppelt Stakes day on Saturday. Seppelt is one of the VRC’s longest commercial partners, marking a 40 year anniversary with Australia’s premier racing club this year. Treasury Wine Estates Managing Director, ANZ & Europe, Angus McPherson said he was delighted to elevate Seppelt’s involvement with the Melbourne Cup Carnival. “As a producer of premium, sought-after wines, we are delighted to celebrate this significant partnership and showcase our outstanding wines on a world stage as prestigious as Flemington – an icon in Australia’s racing landscape.” “It was fabulous to see the full activation of marketing, not only at Flemington, but all across Melbourne. There was literally a Seppelt Logo on every busy street corner, high end shopping centres and the Airport,” reports Bruce Ahchow, operation manager of Great Western Enterprises who manages the Seppelt Cellar Door in Great Western.Danial Ahchow, managing Director of Great Western Enterprises and Bruce were both guests in the Seppelt Stake Day Marquee, seen pictured here with Seppelt Ambassador Rebecca Harding. “The entire Marquee was decorated in images of the historic Seppelt Cellars in Great Western. So many of the guests want to now come to Great Western and fully immerse themselves, take the next level of their wine experience.” said Bruce “It was truly an amazing weekend, to see the Seppelt Winery and Great Western put into the spotlight on such a level.”Don’t worry if you didn’t make it into the Seppelt Marquee this Melbourne Cup Carnival, the 140th Seppelt Great Western Cup will be held on the last Sunday in January next year, where there is an opportunity for locals to experience the “Seppelt VIP Enclosure” for themselves.
